Part 2: Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information chuckkinney.com collects, why, and how it’s handled.
What we collect
• Purchase and account information: name, shipping address, email, and order history, collected through Shopify to process and fulfill your orders.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment processor (Shopify Payments or equivalent) — we do not store your full card number ourselves.
• Contact information you provide: if you sign up for a newsletter, contact us, or submit a review.
• Technical and interaction data: browser type, device, pages visited, and similar information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, used both to operate the site and — as described below — for advertising.
• Order fulfillment data shared with Lulu and Printful: your shipping address and order details are shared with these print-on-demand partners solely to produce and ship your order — see our Shipping Policy.
• Care Navigator search terms: what you search for when using the Care Navigator tool, used in aggregate to understand usage and improve results — not tied to an identifiable profile.
Advertising and targeted ads
We share information collected through cookies and similar technologies with advertising partners, in order to show you ads on other websites that are more relevant to your interests. Under certain U.S. state privacy laws, this kind of sharing for targeted advertising based on your activity across different websites may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising.”
This applies to general site browsing and store activity. It does not apply to the Care Navigator — search terms and resource lookups there are handled separately, in aggregate, and are not shared with advertising partners; see the Care Navigator section above.
Your choices, including Global Privacy Control
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sharing described above. If you visit chuckkinney.com with the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal enabled in your browser, we treat this as a request to opt out of activity that may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or targeted advertising, for the device and browser you used. You can also manage this directly on our Your Privacy Choices page, or by contacting us below.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
What we do not do
We do not require health information to use this site or purchase products, and content you submit (such as a review) should not include identifying or sensitive personal or health information about yourself or others — see our User-Submitted Content Terms. Service providers who help us operate the store (payment processors, shipping carriers, email service providers) are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes — this restriction is separate from, and does not apply to, the advertising-partner sharing described above.
The Care Navigator works as a directory, not a data intermediary. When you find a provider or resource through the Care Navigator, we point you directly to that organization’s own contact information — we do not collect your personal information and pass it along to any provider, insurer, or other third party on your behalf.
A note on the Emergency Life Binder specifically: the ELB is a document you fill in yourself, on your own device, after purchase. We do not receive, see, or store the personal or health information you enter into your own completed ELB.
How we use information
To process orders, fulfill purchases through Lulu and Printful, respond to inquiries, send communications you’ve opted into, maintain site security, and — where you have not opted out — show relevant advertising as described above.
Third-party services
We use Shopify to operate our store, Lulu and Printful to fulfill physical orders, and advertising partners as described above. Each of these has its own privacy practices governing the data shared with them for these purposes.
Data retention
We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, meet legal and tax obligations, and support customer service.
California and other state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale/sharing described above (see Global Privacy Control, above). [To be completed with counsel: confirm exact rights and disclosures required given confirmed CCPA “sale”/“sharing” activity — this is no longer a threshold question since sharing for targeted advertising is already occurring, and the response should be finalized rather than left conditional.] See our Your Privacy Choices page for more detail, or contact us below.
Cookie / Tracking Technologies Notice
[To be completed: name the specific advertising/tracking tools in use — e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads — confirmed to exist given the advertising-sharing disclosure above, but not yet specifically identified.]
Children’s Privacy
This site and its products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
