Editorial & Sponsorship Independence Policy

ChuckKinney.com Editorial & Sponsorship Independence Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Purpose

ChuckKinney.com is operated by SynquUp, LLC. This site shares my books, guides, and the Emergency Life Binder™ products, along with the story and experience behind them. If sponsorship, affiliate relationships, or brand partnerships ever become part of this site, this policy explains how those relationships are handled — so readers always know what’s my own voice and experience versus what’s a paid or commercial relationship.

This is a shorter policy than SynquUp’s, reflecting that this site is my personal author and product platform, not a healthcare navigation service. Where SynquUp works with pharmaceutical companies, health systems, and payers, ChuckKinney.com’s commercial relationships — if any — are more likely to be affiliate links, brand partnerships, or sponsored reviews of relevant products.

My commitments

1. Sponsored or affiliate content is always labeled. If a post, product mention, or recommendation involves a paid relationship or affiliate commission, it’s marked clearly at the point a reader encounters it — for example, “Sponsored,” “Affiliate Link,” or “Paid Partnership.”

2. My personal story and clinical experience are never for sale. My background — paramedic, oncology and hematology navigation, my parents’ illnesses, the reasons I built the Emergency Life Binder — reflects my own experience. No sponsorship or partnership changes what I say about that experience or what I genuinely recommend.

3. Health-related content meets the same standard, sponsored or not. Books, guides, and any content that touches health topics (such as Infusing Hope) are written from my professional background and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Any commercial relationship connected to health-adjacent content doesn’t change that standard or lower the bar for accuracy.

4. Testimonials and reviews reflect real experiences, not guaranteed outcomes. If testimonials or reviews appear on this site, they reflect individual experiences. They are not a promise that others will have the same results, particularly regarding health outcomes.

5. “Sponsored by” and “endorsed by” mean different things here too. A sponsorship or affiliate relationship describes a commercial connection. It does not mean I’m claiming that organization endorses me, or that I’m making claims on their behalf beyond what’s actually agreed.

What this policy is not

This is a trust and editorial-governance statement, not a substitute for this site’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or any required Affiliate Disclosure, Refund Policy, or other legal notices governing sales and commercial relationships. Where this policy and a formal legal notice cover the same ground, the legal notice controls for compliance purposes.
